Inga Schneider, mezzo and chamber musician, Feldenkrais teacher, studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hannover, Germany, violin, singing and choir conducting and at the Royal Conservatory the Hague and the Amsterdam Conservatory, Netherlands. She holds a Master of Music cum laude in solo singing and a Master in Opera Performance.
Inga performed in Mozart opera’s such as the Magic Flute, Cosi van tutte and Le Nozze di Figaro, mini-opera’s from Darius Milhaud and several youth opera’s from the 21st century. As soloist, she performed in international festivals, like the Youth Opera Festival Netherlands (Berio’s Sequenza for voice), in a staged version of Schönberg’s Pierrot Lunaire, Kagel’s Mitternachtstück in the Zaterdag Matinee (live broadcast from the Concertgebouw Amsterdam) as well as her own music theatre productions.
Since 2000 Inga Schneider is member of the professional chamber choir Cappella Amsterdam.With this ensemble and its artistic director Daniel Reuss, she has the great opportunity to work with inspiring conductors such as Frans Brüggen, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Ed Spanjaard, Reinbert de Leeuw, Frieder Bernius, Sigvards Klava, Kaspars Putnins and many others. She is also singing with the Vocalconsort Berlin sinds 2011.
She loves being a voice teacher. She has her own private studio in The Hague and from 2007 until 2015 she taught at the Sing-Akademie Berlin.
The last 25 years her bodywork experience started with Ki exercises with a Japanese Master in Hannover; then Tai Chi lessons in The Hague; Yoga Critical Alignment in Amsterdam and The Hague. Since 2012 she is fascinated by the Feldenkrais method and she is a Feldenkrais teacher since February 2015, organizing workshops for singing and Feldenkrais in Germany and The Netherlands.
